About Dr. Rajeev Nirawane
Dr. Rajeev Nirawane is a Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon with extensive training and experience in pediatric and general orthopedics. He completed his MS in Orthopedics from LTMMC & LTMGH, Sion, Mumbai, a premier institute for medical education, and was awarded Outgoing Resident of the 2003 batch.
He has a strong foundation in orthopedic subspecialties, including spine surgery, joint replacement, sports injuries, hand surgery, and foot and ankle problems, with excellent clinical acumen. Dr. Nirawane has a special interest in pediatric orthopedics and has undergone extensive training at the Institute for Pediatric Orthopedic Disorders (IPOD), Mumbai, covering congenital anomalies, deformities, cerebral palsy, and pediatric trauma.
He is highly skilled in performing deformity correction surgeries such as Genu Valgum, Cubitus Varus (MIDAS Osteotomy), Congenital Hip Dislocations, Perthes Disease, and CTEV, often using minimally invasive approaches to ensure faster recovery and reduced post-operative pain for children. He emphasizes early intervention, careful decision-making, and modern surgical techniques to prevent or correct deformities with minimal morbidity.
